Sheuerman Construction – South Pasadena, CA

The Streets of South Pasadena have a setting like you would find in the Upper Midwest or the North East. Because of this setting and because the towns proximity is situated so close to the film industry of Southern California, it’s often used for location filming.

The picture below shows how Sheuerman Construction uses a weaving pattern to tie the corners of their home together. They have also added a separate location on the back of the exterior  for the water heater.

A common design in Craftsman homes is to run exposed rafters. Sheuerman Construction used the WindsorONE S4SSE trim board as the starter board under the eve to keep this traditional look.

When you’re driving down Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades and you get a glimpse of the magnificent estates, your first thought is what movie star lives in there? But after taking the star stunned guessing away from these estates, what you will find is the greatest built and designed homes in the world.  R & R Construction INC. has widely contributed to the great landscape of estates and homes that  make Pacific Palisades a desirable neighborhood.

On the first project I went to in Pacific Palisades, I got to meet with the project manager and discuss  the exterior trim and siding that went in to this project. WindsorONE + Protected #772 Cove Siding  (Available to West Coast Dealers) was used extensively to give this estate the detail that is consistent with historic home of California. The next project by R & R Construction INC. used exterior combination of Stucco, Stone & Jatobá to give this home it’s detail of coastal accents. The Jatobá on this project was custom milled and supplied By Ganahl Lumber. This homes floor plan centered around the Southern California Coast takes full opportunity of the daylight to add exterior shadows like you see in the picture above.

TL Finley Construction – Pasadena, California April 2010

Southern California –

During my trip to Southern California, I had the opportunity to visit a few job sites and get pictures.

The first project was by TL Finley Construction. They have been working in Pasadena on a historical home that was designed by Greene & Greene. These  are the same designers of the famous arts & craft home, The Gable House.
